The Android Auto hack is awesome and worth checking out. I don't see much discussion of the Android Auto hack for 2014+ Mazda infotainment, and I think it deserves more because it's like a massive free upgrade to the infotainment. I did it a couple of months ago to my 2014 Mazda 3 GT, and I will never go back to using the stock infotainment.
The older 6th gen (smaller screens) were touch only while stopped. The newer 10.5 inch screens are no touch at all, ever. Not true. The CX-50 has touch-enabled carplay, and it touch while driving can be enabled in the menu. I'm guessing this will come to the next set of model revisions as time goes on.
